Praise be to God; He is good and worthy to be praised

Praise be to God, who is good and worthy to be praised.

I don’t say this enough. I am reminded today that we praise God not for what he does, but we praise him for who he is. Normally I praise him when things are going good (this instance included), but I should be praising him always.

I am taking a discipleship class at church. The lesson asked, “What if tomorrow, you only had the things that you thanked God for today?” This thought exercise hit me hard.

I love God more today than yesterday.
