The New Guy

Watch out Hillsdale. Here comes the youngest Mayor in America.

Michael Sessions is too young to drink champagne legally, but the 18-year-old high school senior has reason to celebrate: He unofficially won a race for mayor Tuesday by defeating the baby boomer incumbent.

Dude, how many dates will this guy get?

Possible pick-up lines:
“Hey baby, I’m the Mayor!”
“Ever seen City Hall?”
“No, no, seriously, my office is my bedroom…”
“You can call me, ‘Your Honor’”

supposedly he is a Dem. too. I can’t wait to hear more about this. The Mayor wont let Hillsdale College build the new retirement community they way they want? FINE! The college will with hold his transcripts.

Well, it DOES make sense since the existing Hillsdale County Political machine (rep) wasn’t letting anyone mount a sucessfull challenge on the mayor spot, and the incumbent was/is a moron. Specifically, he apparently wanted to annex 40 acres into the city for the college’s retarded nursing home plan, provide utility service AND keep the land real estate tax exempt. If the college wants to run a for-profit nursing home, they should be in the same tax situation as any similar business in the city of hillsdale, espicially after getting all the other breaks.

The retirement community was planned to be another American architectural blight. How can Hillsdale expect to renew culture with all of this terrible architecture? Makes me ill.
