Smallville
Published by Jake Allen November 26th, 2005 in UncategorizedI’m watching an episode from the first season of Smallville. I identify with Lex Luthor more than Clark. This explains a lot about my high school years.
Clark Kent:
1) morally conflicted
2) certain destiny
3) Luddite
4) physical and athletic perfection
5) intelligent, but misses big picture
6) unique talent
7) unaccountable
Lex Luthor:
1) capitalistic
2) morally certain (if sometimes evil)
3) generous, except to his enemies
4) cultured
5) grasps big picture
6) widely talented
7) uncertain destiny
I also dress more like Lex. Clark always wears jeans and flannel. I am a bit unsettled to find that I root for the villain, even if it is the villain on a Dawson’s Creek knock-off.
Which part of the American myth am I?
Madness!
