December 2 is the birthday of the Manhattan Project, inasmuch as Fermi’s team had the first self-sustaing nuclear reaction in Chicogo in 1942. It’s also the birthday of the Ford Model A (1927), The EPA (1970), Rick Savage (1960), Lucy Lui (1964), Monica Seles (1973), and Brtiney Spears (1981).
